I had a very similar experience with upgrading to a lemonade. I believe it's almost $1.40 more to upgrade to the lemonade. It makes absolutely no sense why you lose a sauce because you pay more for a drink. What am I supposed to do, dunk my pretzels in the lemonade? I also feel that Michele needs some more training. She is definitely not fit to be a manager. She was very short with me and told me she doesn't make the rules, she can only me give one sauce if I upgrade to a lemonade. There should definitely be a sign posted making customers aware of this issue. The pretzels are good, but when you order a large pretzel bite you need more than one sauce and I don't feel you should be punished for choosing a lemonade. It will be a long time before I revisit this business and I will definitely not be visiting when Michele is there.
VERY good place to eat
Warm pretzels and cream cheese is the best.
I visited the store March 4, 2017. I ordered a large pretzel bite meal with 2 cheddar cheese sauces. (I specified that I wanted 2 cheddar sauces just so they knew I didn't want a variety since a large meal comes with 2 sauces). I also upgraded and ordered a strawberry lemonade as my drink. My total was $8.17, which I paid for with my debit card. When the worker handed me my purchase there was only 1 cheese sauce. I asked about the second sauce and was then informed that only 1 cheese sauce comes with the large pretzel bite meal if you order a lemonade. I pointed to several pictures that illustrated a large meal with a lemonade and 2 sauces. The worker insisted those pictures were wrong and you were only allowed one cheese sauce with the purchase of a lemonade. Then a second employee came over and gave me a second cheese sauce. At this point I thought she was rectifying the situation so I took my food and began to walk away. To my dismay a third employee (which turns out to be the assistant manager by the name Michele) screams at me that she is going to call security because I am stealing the cheese sauce. I then stop and asked how much the cheese sauce was. She said it was 69 cents. I pulled my debit card out to pay for it and was told I couldn't use my card because I have to spend at least $1 to charge anything. I did not have any cash on me. At this point I am extremely frustrated and embarrassed because I had been accused of trying to steal a 69 cent cup of cheese. The 2 cheese cups were sitting on the counter next to the lemonade and pretzel bites. In my frustration I swiped them off the counter and walked away. Once again as I'm leaving Michele (the very professional assistant manager) continues to scream that she is going to call security. I used to really enjoy their pretzels and lemonade and have never been treated like this before ANYWHERE!! I worked in customer service for 10 years and would have never treated a customer like that. It amazes me that someone like that is in a management position. I'm sorry they will be losing my business. Maybe she could receive some hospitality training.
