I feel sorry for everyone who lives anywhere but Mansfield, Ohio because that means they don't have the pleasure of shopping at Main Street Books. More than just a bookstore, this is the cultural epicenter for our downtown. From poetry readings to world-class author events, and everything in between, you just can't find a better bookstore anywhere else.
I visited Main Street Books after their usual closing time to attend a book signing. The author's reading and Q&A session was held upstairs in the loft, a cozy, comfortable venue. The store itself has a great inventory, well organized and clearly marked. Llalan Fowler was the person who hosted the book signing by author Steve Goble and Llalan also rang up my purchase, performing both duties efficiently and pleasantly. Besides offering a good selection of books, Main Street Books offers local artists a chance to showcase their works. Great store, great management, clean and neat. Top marks for this store.
